Thanks to our steadfast friendship and trade partnership with the Soviet Union, Lamang continues to prosper. There is no doubt we chose correctly when we rejected the empty promises of the Yankees — distant cousins of the despised British.
“Our friendship with the USSR is unbreakable,” declared President Raksmei Sayavong. “While Western nations scorn us out of fear of true freedom, the Soviet Union respects our sovereignty and pride. Like the USSR, we stand with all freedom-loving and oppressed peoples in their fight to break free from Western colonialism.”
His words remind us whom we can trust — and whom we must never forget to watch. The bond between Lamang and the USSR is more than political; it is a shared vision. And this friendship will endure for generations to come.

It is a beautiful sight to witness the blossoming of true friendship, especially when that bond is between Lamang and the USSR. There is comfort in knowing we can count on those who see the world as we do.
We endured bitter experiences under the British, just as the Soviets have long endured hostility from the capitalist West, which has sought to undermine them from the very beginning.
Some believed the Soviets would abandon us after the Vietnam War, once we were no longer useful. But they have proven otherwise. Unlike the colonizers, they do not forget those who stood with them.
To have allies such as the Soviets is a privilege. There is no doubt: this is a friendship destined to last forever.

Film Review by Nok Dam — Commando
Commando is a high-octane action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as John Matrix, a former special forces colonel whose daughter is kidnapped by a vengeful ex-dictator from South America.
The story is a relentless thrill ride as Matrix races against time to rescue her, delivering one of Schwarzenegger’s most memorable performances. The film is filled with iconic one-liners, explosive set pieces, and brutal fight scenes.
It also offers a critique of the failures of U.S. institutions to protect their own citizens, though at the same time it falls into caricaturing South American leaders.
Don’t sleep on this one, it’s a true action masterpiece.
