Paradise Found
November 14, 2025
In a recent interview, Lamang’s Vice President Jan Park addressed international critics who have likened our nation to North Korea. Park dismissed the comparisons as unfounded and invited the world to experience the truth for themselves.
"I don’t understand why Lamang is being compared to a closed-off country like North Korea," Park remarked. "We are not a nation of secrecy or isolation. We are a land of open arms and warm smiles. Anyone who visits will see for themselves that Lamang is closer to paradise on earth than anywhere else in the world."
It's hard to argue with Park's claim. Lamang boasts an abundance of breathtaking tourist attractions that rival the world's most famous destinations. For example, the wildly beautiful Blue Lagoon offers a serene escape for nature lovers. The luxurious Midnight Sapphire Resort provides unparalleled luxury and hospitality, and for those seeking a mix of culture and coastal adventure, Tiger Bay is a hub of vibrant markets and charming seaside cafes.
Indeed, Lamang is far from the dreary caricature some might imagine. For travelers seeking beauty, tranquility, and authentic Southeast Asian charm, Lamang is not only worth a visit—it’s a must-see.
Lamang Celebrates!
Farmers across Lamang are rejoicing after an unusually successful rubber harvest this season. Favorable weather conditions and improved tapping techniques contributed to a significant increase in latex yield, with some regions reporting their best results in over a decade. This achievement reflects the strength of Lamang’s agricultural policy and the resilience of its people.
Commentary by Khamphanh Vongphachanh
It’s honestly disheartening to see Western countries label our free and proud nation as a dictatorship. For centuries, they exploited us — and now they preach from some imaginary moral high ground? The West is bombing countries across the globe, yet we’re painted as the villains?
Thankfully, not everyone in the West is blind to the double standards their governments push on the world. Just recently, I spoke with a couple of Americans at Hunter’s Paradise — a wonderful place, by the way; you should visit if you get the chance — and they were genuinely ashamed of how Lamang is portrayed back home.
I’m truly grateful for people like them. They give me hope that the West can still move beyond its post-colonial mindset.

Film Review by Nok Dam — The Running Man
Edgar Wright’s The Running Man is a gripping reboot, with a streetwise visual style and emotional core. Glen Powell may not have the raw charisma or acting chops of Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he delivers a solid performance that grounds the story.
Wright once again proves his remarkable talent for adaptation — as he did with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World — and this film only reinforces that reputation.
It’s just a pity he’s British.
