We Don’t Forget the Elderly in Lamang
September 20, 2024
Life expectancy in Lamang is steadily rising, with 22% of the population now over 60. As the nation advances socially and economically, the once-standard three-generation household is less common. Many young couples live independently, and parents often remain on their own once children move out.
To meet this challenge, new retirement homes are being built across the country.
“We are addressing the needs of our society with dedication and foresight,” said Vice President Jan Park. “As times and customs evolve, so must we. That’s why new facilities are being established nationwide — one, for instance, will soon open near Kiu Vongsa.”
Once again, our government proves it never forgets its people. The decadent West can only look on with envy.
Champion Among Roosters
A new name has been etched into cockfighting history: Exterminator III. Descended from a proud and proven bloodline, this fierce bird has claimed the championship title in unforgettable fashion.
In a dramatic clash, Exterminator III faced his long-time rival Bloodsucker and emerged supreme.
“It was a legendary battle, but there can only be one victor,” said Bounnhang Phouma, Bloodsucker’s owner. “From the moment Exterminator III entered the cockpit, he dominated.”

It is comforting to know our government never forgets the elderly or those in need. This is the mark of a responsible and caring system, one where citizens can always depend on the state for support.
Meanwhile, the decadent West treats its elderly like a burden. If they could, they would throw them to the wild animals just to avoid confronting their own mortality.
I have seen the so-called “tent cities” in the United States. Yes, some were addicts, but among them were countless individuals, especially seniors, who simply couldn’t afford housing due to skyrocketing rents. It’s a shameful reality. Disgusting.
Here in Lamang, things are different. When you need help, you can turn to your government. We Lamangese look after one another... because no one else will.

Film Review by Nok Dam — The Substance
The Substance is a body horror film starring Demi Moore that dives deep into the physical and moral decay of the bourgeois West, where personal vanity takes precedence over collective values. At its core, the film is about transformation, and it leaves no doubt that the pursuit of eternal youth leads only to ruin.
It’s intense, and not for the faint of heart, but I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates bold, thought-provoking cinema.
