President Discovers Ancient Vase
July 1, 2005
While diving in Namlai Lake, President Narith Sayavong made an extraordinary discovery — an ancient, perfectly preserved vase believed to come from a long-forgotten civilization.
“I couldn’t believe my luck. It felt as if the vase had been waiting for me,” said the President, visibly moved. “It’s difficult to grasp that I happened upon something so beautiful.”
That such a remarkable artifact was uncovered not by scholars or explorers, but by our very own leader, is a moment of great pride for the nation. A symbol of how Lamang continues to connect its rich past with its bright future.
Man Steals Chocolate, Forgets Daughter While Fleeing
A 40-year-old man attempted to steal a box of chocolates from a convenience store in Pha Lang. When confronted by the store owner, he abandoned the chocolates and fled the scene, leaving his young daughter behind in the shop.
The child was later safely returned to her mother, while authorities continue their search for the fugitive father. In the end, he left empty-handed in more ways than one.

Our island is steeped in mystery. There are still places untouched by archaeologists, places that hold secrets from a long-forgotten past.
We know for certain that an advanced civilization once inhabited this area, although its name remains unknown.
From time to time, when forests are cleared, we uncover fragments of walls or ancient ruins. But to discover a perfectly preserved ancient vase — and by sheer chance — is extraordinary. It feels like a sign. Our President is truly blessed to lead a nation as proud and rich in history as ours.

Film Review by Nok Dam — Batman Begins
Batman Begins is a fresh start for the famed comic-book hero. Under Christopher Nolan’s direction, the film adopts a more grounded approach, focusing on Bruce Wayne’s origins and the training that would later allow him to fight crime in Gotham City.
At its core, the story reflects the failure of the Western system to protect its own citizens, portraying a society so broken that only a wealthy businessman has the resources to restore order.
While Christian Bale delivers a solid performance, Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Batman remains far more iconic. Nolan is undeniably a talented filmmaker, but the disparaging fact is that he’s of British origin.
