Slavers Shut Down
December 2, 2024
Police units carried out a successful raid targeting organized crime near the Blue Lagoon earlier this week. The infamous Fanny Paradise strip club was shut down, and its owner was taken into custody after authorities uncovered evidence of human trafficking and forced labor.
“We will not stand for these kinds of practices in Lamang,” said Vice President Jan Park. “Let this serve as a clear message: those who exploit others will be brought to justice.”
Moments like this remind us of the strength of our institutions. Lamang remains a country committed to safety, justice, and the values of a true democracy.
President Narith Sayavong Visits Sunset Chalet
President Narith Sayavong, accompanied by Vice President Jan Park, paid a visit to Sunset Chalet near the Midnight Sapphire Resort, where they admired the breathtaking scenery and enjoyed a cup of coffee.
“It was truly a life-changing experience to have the honor of serving our great leader, President Narith Sayavong,” said Khempheng Thammavong, a waitress at Sunset Chalet. “I will cherish this memory for the rest of my life. I feel truly blessed.”
Commentary by Khamphanh Vongphachanh
Our nation is built on cooperation and mutual trust. That’s why it’s always disheartening to hear of individuals who seek to undermine that foundation. What took place in that infamous strip club — whose name I won’t even dignify by mentioning — stands in direct opposition to the values our country upholds.
Even in the most tolerant societies, a few rotten apples will emerge. Fortunately, we have the means to prevent disgraceful acts like this from spreading. If you witness anything similar in your community, do not hesitate — report it to the police or government authorities.
Let it be known: crime has no place in Lamang.

Film Review by Nok Dam — Wicked
I was seriously tempted to walk out of the theater, but I managed to hold it together. It's part of the job. On the other hand, you don't need to suffer like I did, so do yourself a favor and skip this soulless mess.
Not a single song sticks, not even by accident. More and more, it feels like the West is trying to erode our culture through its entertainment industry. Wicked isn't just bad; it's a weaponized form of boredom, right up there with The Boy and the Heron.

Have you heard the joke about yoga? Never mind, it's a bit of a stretch.
